Sam blogged about the last couple of days at the hospital at: http://www.sethfongstory.blogspot.com/. Now, because they are concerned about Seth possibly having a virus, they have put him in isolation of sorts, using gowns and facemasks when coming i...n the room. Seth is gagging a lot, and threw up most of the night. I feel a bit helpless being so far away (an hour) but I have to care for my other two sons. God is omnipresent and that gives me comfort. He also knows all things and cares about us more than we can comprehend.

The doctors say that Seth is not safe to leave the hospital due to his blood clotting factor. His score on the donor list is now pretty high, therefore, he may receive a liver soon. Just returned from the hospital bringing some toys for Seth. He's been on a constant flow of saline to keep his central line open so Sam can't walk around with him without dragging the entire monitoring system on wheels with them. Hi JWalkers,
Well the time has begun. This Wednesday night 9-16-09 you will ALL need to be at church upstairs in the quad at 6:30 sharp. We will have a bite to eat, while going over the curriculum, and a few updates. After the kids arrive we will have worship & story time together. Then each teaching team will take their class to their room (the rooms have been changed over to the MCA building) to have a little orientation, "get to know each other time". You will spend approx 30 mins in the class until checkout, so be prepared to talk, play a game, or have something prepared for them to do, & please have a snack for check-out.
If you do not have a copy of the curriculum please let me know ASAP. There is one original curriculum booklet for each team (the team coordinator should have that) & copies for everyone else on the team. This year if your team thinks you would like to use the student booklets for the class Pastor Mickey will order them for you. Please pray with your team about this, and decide if your class will really use them. The booklets will not be one per student, but a supply of them to be torn out and used each week for whoever is there. Be prepared to know if you want them ordered or not, this Wednesday night. Which puts more urgency on making sure you all have your copy of the curriculum.
The 9-19-09 Saturday morning meeting will be upstairs in the quad @ 9:00-12:00 yes there will be a continental breakfast to eat! It is going to be a time of prayer, going over the year's agenda and sharing ideas of what worked and didn't so be prepared with your ideas to share.
Some of you have not RSVP (you know who you are) Please let me know ASAP.
